I actually spent most of what was left of my last paycheck from my summer job on the first volume (two copies, one as a gift to a friend) and a few extras. XD AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU COME OUT WITH THIS AND I AM LEFT BROKE AND SAD AND TJ AND AMAL-LESS. Q~Q I am like a junkie and it is very sad.
...This just motivates me to get a job sooner. XD DAMN YOU EK, YOU ARE MAKING ME A (sort of) RESPONSIBLE ADULT.
This is beautiful. I've been beating myself up for not purchasing volume two sooner; the first volume is currently looking a little too lonely on my bookshelf for my liking, and I just now managed to put aside some money for its companion. In addition, I'm thrilled to see that the signed/sketch version is still available in the store. Hooray! Purchased.
I just caught myself up to the last chapter online (clear through the 31st of October update) and this new development in the story has changed everything for me. I'm in love with this story--I have been since the moment I stumbled upon it some years ago--but this has taken TJ and Amal to another dimension of reality, both in story and character. I applaud your skills; you are a truly gifted storyteller. Your impeccable sense of dialogue and the way you deal with character flaws both have influenced my contemporary writing throughout the years as I hone my own craft. Thank you for sharing this story with us. It could only be told by you, and I think I can speak for everyone when I say we're all grateful.
